...ans: NEITHER!
I sat in my garden
and saw that I was perfect
I breathed deeply
and out before
as though under a microscope
stood all the particles of my perfection
like swirling specks of dust
in infinite sunbeams..
Every minute detail in exquisite motion
as a universe unto itself
I examined each in detail
and watched as particles attracted to each other
came and bonded
to create even more beauty
Some became
seas
Some became
mountains
skies
winds
trees animals
All of these made themselves from me and stood before me
and said look
Are we not awesome to behold
And I was truly honored
that
all of this before me
was within me
But yet there was still more
I slept again
And there he stood before me
The embodiment of all my particles
He was awesome
He was amazing
He was perfect
I taught him to do as I did
to sleep
to breathe
and see all the particles
that made me
and all the particles that made him
out before him
and to watch as he called particles
together
to create whatever he wanted
He did.
He fashioned more
of everything
and had ingenious ideas
and continued
expanding the possibilities..
He saw infinite possibilities
in a speck of dust..
He stood as though
in a kaleidescope
of
magic dust..
He lay in the garden
Hibiscus and Eglantine swayed in the breeze.
White hawthorn blossoms stood noble
against the faint skyline.
The proud full moon
cast an ethereal light on contented sleepy toads..
dozing on giant lily pads
by mossy verges
where fussy water hens and gallant mallards snored.
He was resting
Savoring.
Sensing.
Listening.
Watching.
High overhead the purple mountains
loomed protectively.
Woodbine filled the air
Lavender wafted on the still night air
He inhaled deeply.
A lullaby from a nearby brook
And a splash goodnight from
A lively silver trout
The night owl winked
Apple blossoms sang
And every star in heaven
leaped like
heart beats in a veil of deep profound love..
He loved this place
Its night time magic
Its day time fun frolics and adventure..
He reflected on his day
Today he found herds of giant animals
making their way across a plain
He watched their progress with interest.
Wherever they encountered difficulty
he conferred with them
then he consulted the wise trees,
who spoke
to the excitable water droplets
who asked
the giggling grass
the gentle mountains
to help
This they did.
Willingly.
He was their friend.
Once again his heart leaped with joy
as he recalled
the fan of pink flamingoes on the horizon
pink on pink
one with the dawn sky
How
utterly beautiful
his heart said..
And he laughed as he remembered the disgruntled
iguana
when he accidentally stood on his tail
and he was so content with it all
He recalled too
the golden plover on the sedge
busily chirping with
his wife and children
tomorrow he said
I will ask god for a partner
We sat on golden beach
He loved this spot
Here he swam with the sea turtles
who dived with him to the ocean floor
where
Gathered mollusks starfish sea urchins
bronzes purples silver blues magenta
pinks
Swayed here just as magnificently as above
he excitedly told me
(as if I didn't know!! but I was thrilled at his pleasure)
I said, " sleep"
When he awoke
She was standing there
I watched from the distance
She was more lovely
than anything I ever created
I had seen her in his mind
and
gave her the breath of life
As he slept
He was awestruck
And for the first time
in his life,
he was stuck for words!
(He was quite a chatterbox)
To see him like this
made me laugh,
HEARTILY!!
They were the perfect couple
She thrilled and delighted him
He adored her
She soothed, caressed and cared for his every need
He created whatever she wished
His creations were now even more magnificent
Because she had an infinite well
of ideas deep in her mind..
The traversed the galaxies
their eyes were capable of seeing light
in all its shapes
and forms
exploring
creating
enjoying
All things yielded up their secrets to them
All things spoke in a common language..
they were the rulers
and I rejoiced in their fun
Birds rested on their fingers
Animals snuggled at their feet
There was no fear
only respect
awe
and
love
They created all that is possible from beginning to end
They created the Ultimate in all things..
Everything teemed with life
And everywhere
skeins of gold and white
gold glistened
radiantly
IT WAS DONE.
